How We Build Your Court

Upon inquiry, we conduct a thorough assessment on-site or through an online survey.

Things to consider:
• What is the current land condition? Soil only, turf, concrete/cast, or asphalt?
• Where is the land located? Indoor or outdoor? Ground floor, middle of the building or rooftop?
• What is the land size?
• What are the conditions around the land?
• What are the possible access points to the court?
• Is there any other construction work being done in the area?

Our team will come to your location for a direct survey or you can measure it and include photos that portray the current situation of your land.

We recommend a court design suitable to your requirements based on the survey result.

Important factors in designing a court:

1. Purpose and Type of Sport

The first step is to determine the type of sport or activity to be played on the court. This determines the court size, surface material, and other key design features.

2. Location and Available Space

Factors such as the size and shape of the available space, the slope or grade of the terrain, and proximity to other structures or facilities will greatly influence the design.

3. The Surface Material

This will depend on the type of sport or activity, as well as other factors such as durability, maintenance requirements, and budget. Options include asphalt, concrete, grass, artificial turf, and more.

4. Court Layout

Once the type of sport or activity is decided, you need to follow the specific requirements or regulations for it. The court layout also depends on the particular need of the client, such as the number of spectators, referee bench, warm-up or other restricted areas, among others.

5. Extra Features and Amenities

Finally, the design may include additional features and amenities, such as fencing, lighting, seating, and landscaping.

Designing a sports court requires careful consideration of many factors. Assign your important project to experienced sports field engineers and designers to ensure that the final design meets your specific requirements and serves its purpose well.

Popular Court Types

Tennis Court

A tennis court is typically made of hard, durable material such as asphalt or concrete and is marked with lines for singles and doubles play. The court is 23.77 meters long and 8.23 meters wide for singles play, and 23.77 meters long and 10.97 meters wide for doubles play. The lines on the court are 5 centimeters wide and are typically painted in white.

The court is divided in half by a net suspended over the center of the court. The net is 91.4 centimeters high at the center and 1.07 meters high at the posts. The net is made of a sturdy material such as nylon or polyester and is supported by posts on either side of the court.

Tennis courts can be played on a variety of surfaces, including grass, clay, and hard court surfaces such as asphalt or concrete. Each surface has its own unique characteristics and can affect the speed and bounce of the ball, as well as the players' movement and strategy.

Padel Tennis Court

Regarded as the fastest-growing sport in the world, padel tennis has gained a massive increase in world popularity including in Indonesia.

A padel tennis court is typically 20 meters long and 10 meters wide, surrounded by a 3-meter high fence. The court is divided into halves by a net, similar to a tennis court, and is marked with lines for both singles and doubles play. The playing surface is typically made of cement, synthetic materials, artificial grass or artificial turf.

The walls surrounding the court are an essential part of the game and can be used to play shots off of, much like in racquetball. The walls are typically made of glass or a special type of mesh material that allows players to see through them. According to The International Padel Federation (FIP), the playing surface should be terracotta, blue or green.

Futsal Court

A popular alternative to soccer, a futsal court is rectangular and can be made of a variety of materials, such as hardwood, asphalt, or synthetic surfaces. The court is typically 25-42 meters long and 16-25 meters wide, with a smooth surface free of debris. The court is divided into two halves by a centerline, and there are penalty areas at each end of the court.

The goals on a futsal court are smaller than those on a traditional soccer field, measuring 3 meters wide by 2 meters high. The goal area is also smaller, extending only 6 meters from the goal line and 3 meters out from the side of the goal.

Flooring for sports courts, whether indoor or outdoor, can be used for specific purposes, such as rubber flooring for gymnastics, wooden flooring for ball sports, and can even be used for multipurpose courts. Here are some types of court materials:

1. Vinyl Flooring

Has a textured non-slip surface and must be specialised for sports. Vinyl flooring can be used for multipurpose court floors: badminton, volleyball, futsal, and even basketball courts. Another advantage of vinyl flooring is its elastic nature that prevents damage due to friction or changes in temperature.

2. Hardwood Flooring

Has better durability and a luxurious look. The wooden floor is a standard for basketball courts due to its ability to reduce the bounce-back impact on the body. Therefore, wooden floors are suitable for sports with a lot of jumping movements. Despite the benefits, it requires high maintenance costs and cannot be used as a multipurpose court.

3. Interlock Floors

Interlock floors are often found on futsal grounds. It is made of strong material, polypropylene, fairly durable and not easily damaged for its resistance to insects, fungal attacks, and bacteria. Apart from sporting use, this type of floor is also suitable for children's playgrounds. Its colors vary greatly from dark, and light, to neutral and can be creatively combined.

4. Track Floor

This surface is often made from recycled rubber that provides excellent grip and absorbency to avoid common injuries to the feet and ankles. As the best flooring for sports fields, the track surface is also designed to effectively drain rainwater, keeping the surface dry and safe for athletes.

5. Recycled Rubber Flooring

Made from recycled rubber, it is the most economical athletic flooring option. This flooring is durable, low-maintenance, water and stain resistant, shock-absorbent, and smooth in appearance. Recycled Rubber Flooring is perfect for training and fitness centres (gyms).

6. Vulcanized Rubber Flooring

Anti-slip, non-porous surface, antimicrobial, and easy to maintain. This type of floor has great shock absorption, providing more stability than other types of flooring. It can better withstand the weight of heavy sports equipment and pressure.

7. Polyurethane Flooring

This floor is usually used for multipurpose sports fields. Strong and durable, this sports field floor can bear heavy loads.

8. Synthetic Grass

Artificial turf is designed to be the replacement for playing arenas resembling natural grass. It is made of durable filament fibers and rubber fillers that act as ``dirt`` that provide shock absorption and stability.

Several factors affecting building costs:

Initial Land
Conditions

Land readiness is one of the key factors in creating a sports court. The land is declared ready when it is evenly concreted or covered with asphalt as the sub-base of your field. We make sure it is ready before the field is constructed.

Floor Slope

Indoor and outdoor courts have different plans. Outdoor courts must have a drainage system and a slope of ±1% to prevent stationary water that can damage the field coating. Meanwhile, indoor courts are required to be flat with a maximum tolerance of 3mm/3m.

Field Use

Fields for practice and matches have different equipment. When combining several sports on one court, you should take note of additional line markings, court dimensions and court equipment. These will have an impact on the installation costs.

We make your imagination come alive, constructing your court according to the K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) standard.

Court installation work has a different schedule based on court readiness and complexity.
